Maybe it’s the fresh mountain air and the natural beauty of the area that attracts such a rich community of original thinkers and artists to Dawsonville-Dawson County. From the 250 artists creating folk art in all media to the ever-growing body of painters, sculptors, photographers, woodworkers, jewelry makers, singers and musicians and other artists putting their skills and talents on display at the Bowen Center for the Arts to the couple crafting art glass seen around the world, the area is an inspiring and welcoming creative enclave for artists – and one offering visitors a variety of visual and performing arts experiences.
