HEALTH CARE - The health care industry has found a friendly home here. A recent Health Care Needs Assessment confirmed that the population was being underserved in this area. Community leaders are pleased that specialists and other health care providers are finding Dawson County a promising market. OUTDOOR RECREATION - Dawson County is rich with natural resources. From Lake Lanier to Springer Mountain, we have a variety of beautiful areas that might be suited to your outdoor recreational business. CONFERENCE CENTER - The close proximity to Atlanta and all of the activities available here make us a prime location for a conference center. We are just over an hour’s drive to the Atlanta airport. We have the largest collection of Kangaroos that all visitors want to see, as well as the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi River.
